The workhorse of team kit — smart enough for customer-facing work, tough enough for daily washing. Each brand below has its own fit, fabric weight and price.
Is this the right garment for you?
The default garment of British trade workwear, and the one most teams order first. Smart enough to knock on a door in, cheap enough to buy three of.
Buy it if
- Your people meet customers — homeowners, offices, receptions
- You want one garment that works from March to October
- You are buying a first branded kit and want the safest starting point
Buy something else if
- The work is genuinely filthy — a t-shirt is cheaper to replace and nobody minds when it goes
- Staff are outdoors all winter; a polo is a base layer, not a coat
Fit and sizing
Order the size someone wears in a normal shirt. Trade polos run true but are cut straight rather than fitted, so anyone between sizes is usually happier sizing down rather than up. Every size XS to 4XL is the same price.
Embroidery or print
Embroidery, almost always. It survives twice-weekly washing for years and reads as a uniform rather than a promotional t-shirt. Print only if the logo has detail or colours that thread cannot hold.
Washing and working life
A 40 degree wash and out of the machine promptly. Expect around a year from a polo worn several days a week — the collar goes before the fabric, and the embroidery almost always outlives the garment.
