Kitting out warehouses: what actually matters
Where the work happens
Indoors, consistent temperature, predictable wear. Among the easiest environments for clothing, which means quantities can be lower and garments last longer than on site.
Who you are kitting out
Pickers, forklift drivers, goods-in, supervisors. Forklift drivers usually need hi-vis where pedestrians and vehicles share a floor.
Which garments earn their place
Polos and sweatshirts, with a hi-vis vest over the top for anyone in a traffic area. A fleece for chilled areas and for anyone working the loading doors in winter.
Embroidery or print
Embroidery on the polos and fleeces. They last long enough to justify it here in a way they do not on a building site.
Summer and winter
The loading doors are the seasonal problem. Whoever works near them needs a proper layer from November even though everybody else is comfortable.
