Is this the right garment for you?
The workhorse for hot weather and dirty work. Treat them as consumables and buy accordingly.
Buy it if
- Site work, groundworks, warehouse in summer
- You want something under a hi-vis vest that will not cook people in July
- The design is large, detailed or full colour
Buy something else if
- Staff are meeting customers — a polo does more for the next job
- You want the garment to last two years; it will not, whatever you pay
Fit and sizing
Generous and straight cut. Most people take their usual size; anyone wearing it over a base layer in spring often goes up one.
Embroidery or print
Print. A t-shirt is a consumable and paying to stitch one is money spent on a garment that will be a rag by autumn. Print also handles the big front and back designs t-shirts suit.
Washing and working life
Wash at 40 and turn printed garments inside out. Expect a season of heavy site use rather than a year.
